Cast Acrylic & Painted Aluminum Cafe Tables, 2001

Jaroff Design consulted with architect Bartholomew Voorsanger to refine his design idea for light, airy furniture that would accentuate the open and sparse architectural aesthetic of the renovated cafe dining room planned at the Asia Society headquarters on Park Avenue. Mison Concept’s custom metal fabrication then had to meet the program needs of the space – tables that would be light weight, stackable and easily collapsible for maximum flexibility. The center circle depressed into the acrylic surface of each tabletopwas added to accommodate floating flowers or Asian dipping sauces.
