Reception Desk in Bronze, Wood and Scrub Grass

Housed in I.M. Pei’s famed First Interstate Tower, Pacific Enterprises’ Los Angeles headquarters features this Richard Artschwager-designed desk in its reception lobby. Serving as the room’s centerpiece, the custom-made desk conflates sculpture, furniture and planter, combining curving wood, bronze trimming and live African scrub grass. Mison Concepts worked as the ornamental metal contractor, fabricating the bronze elements and bringing all three components together to complete the artist’s vision.
