Mison Concepts’ fully equipped shop produces metal and glass work for clients worldwide. Located less than thirty miles from the heart of Manhattan, we are constantly pushing our materials to the next level and are proud of our position at the forefront of innovation in design and technology.

We work extensively with all metals, including mainstays of the building industry – stainless steel, bronze, copper, and brass – as well as more unusual alloys such as titanium, nickel silver, and corten-steel. Our full range of finishes, patinas, and treatments expand on these materials to create an endless array of options, from blackened stainless steel to oxidized copper to etched, sand-blasted, or distressed surface styles.
In glass, we offer custom cast glass to achieve sculptural forms as well as decorative, textured, tempered, insulated, fritted or frosted glass, with laminations and printed designs of all kinds. We also work with photovoltaic, LED and switchable glass, often in combination with custom-designed lighting systems, which can incorporate green design principles into all kinds of building projects.
Installation
With complex materials, high-quality production is only half the battle. During on-site installation, our team of project managers, craftsman and crew ensure that everything comes together perfectly. Mison Concepts coordinates schedules and delivery, interfaces with other contractors and client reps, handles the juncture of metal and glass with other materials in the space and protects delicate finishes, materials and edges so the final product is flawless at delivery. To guarentee the quality of Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) projects, we are nationally certified by the NABCEP as a qualified Solar Photovoltaic Installer. While we are based in New York, installation crews can be coordinated for any location.
Materials and Testing
Mison Concepts works closely with designers to produce samples of new finishes, patinas or composites for metal or glass applications. We also provide material testing for performance criteria, environmental issues, green design efficiency, potential chemical reactions and safety concerns.
